The popular English-language radio show, “This Week In Costa Rica” featured Michael Miller, the author of The Real San José as a guest in December, 2014. The show, which is broadcasted from Jaco Beach, Costa Rica, is heard via internet all over the world. It has been archived on-line so you can listen to it at your leisure.
The host of the show, Dan Stevens, began the program with a news update with his weekly guest Rico Cacciatore, the publisher of the magazine “Q-Costa Rica.” The second half of the show was completely devoted to the interview with Michael Miller and The Real San José.
During the interview, Dan brought up his concerns that San José, Costa Rica is known for its problems, particularly the casinos and places of prostitution. But Mr. Miller contends that those places are a very small part of Downtown San José.
San José, he pointed out, is the center of art, culture and entertainment for the entire country. It is the home to the National Symphony Orchestra, to live theater, to world-class museums and to scores of art galleries. It has fine restaurants, great city parks, beautiful private homes and inviting neighborhoods.
